Our neurodiverse journey
Laura, our Director, understands the challenges of navigating neurodiversity in a world not build to support it, firsthand. Her journey began when her youngest son faced difficulties in school, sparking a deep commitment to learning and implementing new parenting strategies for positive change. From early on Laura, recognised how difficult and isolating this path can be for families with additional needs. One of the main challenges includes educating others on her child's ever changing and growing needs, in real time!
Found North East wants to work with and help other families, but also other professionals. One of the main drivers for Found North East is working toward creating a neuro-inclusive world, building a needs based, holistically led, and trauma informed way of living for all.

From watching her teenager deal with mental health challenges, and then her youngest ASD son start to experience extreme anxiety at only age 5, she knew something needed to change. Through her experiences, she aims to connect with and uplift families on similar journeys, fostering a sense of community and understanding, while gently exploring how we can all continue to learn and do better to be truly more inclusive.

Any parent who is on this journey will recognise how long and ever changing it can be, and that is what inspired a lot of our products, services and resources, for others going though similar experiences.
Because no one should feel alone in this; Together, we are Found.
